Crafter Interview: Holly Camp Cards

Business Name: Holly Camp Cards
Artist’s Name: Holly Camp

Describe your business and craft.

I am a greeting card designer, and under the guise of brightening peoples' days, I create little sad-faced animals. Oh, happy day!

Do you have a particular item you want featured? Why this item?

Yes! My Drunktopus greeting card. There's something inherently fun about drawing drunken animals, and for some reason, people seem to respond to it. Whether it be their love of sea life, or their love of alcohol – I guess I'll never know.

If you had to switch crafts and do something else for your business, what would it be?

I love making monoprints. And I love jewelry, so if I made it too, I could have more for myself. That's pretty appealing.

The craft bug starts somewhere. What is your earliest memory of making something crafty?

I seriously have the memory of being told not to color outside the lines. I think I took it a little too far.

What is your favorite craft tool to work with?

Tech Liner pens - the smaller the nib, the better. There are upwards of 50 of these in my living room right now.
