1. Rock, paper, or scissors?
All of the above! Preferably in the same project.
2. Where is your favorite place in Richmond and why?
I tend to be a homebody, so my first answer would probably be my house. But if I had to choose a place that OTHER people could go to, I'd have to say that I absolutely love Ipanema restaurant. It's cozy, has great music, and the tofu on their vegan ceasar salad is the best I've ever had.
3. Do you have a particular item you want featured? Why this item?
I love the blank books that I've been making this year. The covers are upcycled from 78 album covers and the papers are 100% recycled and acid-free.

4. If you had to switch crafts and do something else for your business, what would it be?
4. If you had to switch crafts and do something else for your business, what would it be?
I tend to be a Jane-of-all-trades, and feel like I need to learn everything, so I always seem to be incorporating new crafts into my business. I started out with ceramics, but wanted to find a way to make my business more green. So I started using remnants and leftover bits of fabric to make change purses, but I still wanted to do more to keep things out of the waste stream. I recently discovered bookmaking, and it's allowed me to blend recycling and sewing in a way that was much more satisfying than I'd never imagined.
5. The craft bug starts somewhere. What is your earliest memory of making something crafty?
I remember drawing on this lightweight green paper that my Mom had around. I must have been about 5 or so. The paper was very thin, and for some reason I'm thinking it was typewriter paper. And Mom always told me to draw on both sides of the paper. My parents and grandparents instilled in me the importance of not letting things go to waste.
6. What is your favorite craft tool to work with?
I use so many I don't think I could pick just one. Currently, I'm really enjoying the Yudu screen-printing machine and my curved bookbinding needles.
